Another Cryo-EM session at the SOLARIS Center in Cracow.

Behind the scenes of the most recent trip to Cracow, lays our desire to offer something non-redundant to our research field. Adela and Piotr made once again a joint effort to overcome common difficulties encountered in cryo-EM by preparing on-site fresh complexes and improving the freezing of the grids with the support of the cryo-EM specialists from SOLARIS Center. A quick and reliable overview of the grids and samples quality was assessed by using the Glacios cryo-TEM microscope available at the facility. The purpose of the screening sessions was to check the integrity of non-frozen protein complexes and to optimize the preparation of grids that would be qualitatively suitable for downstream high-resolution data collection.
