Beata has joined MRS lab in May 2022 to work within the MitoRepairsome project. She graduated from the University of Nottingham (the UK) in Molecular Medical Microbiology. She undertook her PhD at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) working on the SOS response in pathogenic bacterium Clostridium difficile. She was working at the Biology Faculty of the University of Gdansk investigating novel protein-protein interactions networks of the DNA replication and protein modifications such as deacetylation in E. coli and P. aeruginosa. Her main scientific focus is on processes involved in genomic integrity and stability and their link to metabolic and protein homeostasis.
