Exciting News: MRSLab Publication in Nucleic Acids Research!

Exciting News: Our Latest Publication in Nucleic Acids Research!

We are thrilled to share that our article, „Mitochondrial exonuclease EXOG supports DNA integrity by the removal of single-stranded DNA flaps” (DOI: 10.1093/nar/gkaf099), has been published in Nucleic Acids Research (Impact Factor: 16.7)!

This work, a collaboration between our Structural Biology Laboratory and Prof. Jacek Czub’s group at Gdańsk University of Technology, explores the critical role of EXOG in maintaining mitochondrial DNA integrity. We demonstrate how EXOG removes single-stranded DNA flaps and cooperates with key mitochondrial enzymes to ensure genome stability.

A great achievement for our team—stay tuned for more research updates!
